ダン蔵’s friends drove us to Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford, Connecticut today. It’s about two hours drive each way.
This Georgia O’Keeffe’s “The Lawrence Tree, 1929” knocked me out. It’s amazingly great work!
ダン蔵’s assistant, who joined this trip with us said it reminds her of my painting, “The Tree That Grabs the Stars.”. And I said yes, I agree. But, O’keeffe’s work is by far superior to mine!
I thought the same as ダン蔵’s assistant as soon as I saw it, in fact I thought it was a new work of yours before I read who it was by! Such synergy between you both, I didn’t know it was an early work, (1929) of hers, and titled after a tree on the ranch of D H Lawrence – I read it is still there…
Haha! I wish this were my new work!!!
I really love her straight forward strong way of expressing her mind.
