There is a restaurant called “Lovely Day” near my apartment. Lovely Day is run by a Japanese lady. She is a “lovely” woman herself. About ten years ago, her restaurant had a fire, and NYFD did not give her work permission over a year. However, at last, her restaurant came back to our community. Her business has been stable and getting stronger. She has started another restaurant nearby some years ago. She is a successful business owner. But, again, she faced with difficulty. The coronavirus has been attacking her business now. Restaurants can run only for pick up and delivery.
私のアパートの近くにラブリーデイ、と言うレストランがあります。そこは日本人女性が経営しています。まあ、彼女自身がラブリーな人なんです。１０年くらい前、彼女のレストランで火事があって、ニューヨークの消防署は彼女に一年以上も営業許可を与えませんでした。しかしついに彼女のレストランは無事再開しました。彼女の営業は安定していて、さらに良くなって行き、彼女は数年前、近くにもう一軒、別のレストランも作りました。彼女は成功した事業主です。でも、また、彼女は困難に直面しました。コロナが彼女の営業運営を妨げている。レストランはお客さんが注文品を取りに来るか、配達だけが許可されています。
However, not only her business. We are all having the same problem. A strict regulation made almost all businesses must close except drug stores and grocery stores.
でも、彼女だけでは無くて、私達、みんなが同じ問題を抱えてます。厳格な規制により、ドラッグストアと食料品店を除いて、ほとんどすべてのお店が閉められています。
