When I was an art student, my color science class’s textbook was Josef Albers‘s theory. I deeply admired his using color. He was my god of the color.

I like Robert Mangold‘s work. One day ダン蔵 told me that Mangold was a student of Albers. I was surprised by it, but soon after this, I understood that using the colors of Mangold is influenced by Albers.
私はロバートマンゴールドの作品が好きなのですが、ある日、ダン蔵がマンゴールドはアルバースの生徒だったことを教えてくれて驚きましたが、直ぐに合点しました。マンゴールドの使う色彩はアルバースの影響を少なからず受けていると思います。

When I was in my 22, I attended a week-long lecture/workshop at ダン蔵, so I am a student of ダン蔵. His lecture was amazing. And I got the blow. It was like an earthquake,e and a tsunami came to me same time. However, I think my art itself never influenced by him.
