A few years ago, I was enthusiastic about reading freestyle haiku and poetry. At that time, I also read a collaboration freestyle haiku books by Sekishiro and Naoki Matayoshi, “No way Jeep” and “I wouldn’t come without the oyster fly”. It was the same time of Matayoshi won the Akutagawa Prize with his first novel. However, I have not read his novel yet.

From this weekend to today, I read his Akutagawa Prize-winning work, “Hibana” and his latest book, “Ningen” These were funny, and I enjoyed reading them.

When I read “Hibana”, it reminds me that a story of Ryunosuke Akutagawa, “The Life of a Fool.”

「火花」を読んでいると、それは私に、芥川龍之介の 「ある阿呆の一生」を思い出させました。

The postscript was a letter to Akutagawa from the author.

This is a good chance to read it again.
