I love to watch evening news after dinner, but I often am in a food coma after dinner.
夕食の後に観る、夕方のニュースが好きですが、夕食の後はほぼ、血液が胃に行ってしまってるので、意識が無くなります。

My friend who lives in Germany email me with this photo today. ドイツに住んでる友達が写真付きのイーメールをくれました。
She is visiting Düsseldorf (the city has the largest Japanese population in Germany, and is quite famous for its Japanese cuisine.)
彼女は今、Düsseldorf （ドイツで一番日本人の人口が多く、日本料理が有名です。）を、訪れています。
She is at a soba restaurant alone. She thought she would read a book while she has dinner、however,
彼女は一人で蕎麦屋にいて、夕食を食べながら本でも読もうと思ったのだが、
she was surprised with very noisy with the customers in the restaurant.
彼女はレストランの客がうるさいのに驚いた。
Therefore, she can’t concentrateraite to read her book. She thought if she reads aloud her book it is okay, no one care. then, she remember that I said to her a while ago. “You think Americans are loud, you haven’t been to Japan!”
それで、彼女は自分の本に集中できません。彼女はこのうるささなら声を出して読んでも大丈夫だと思い、そして、私がかつて彼女に言ったことを思い出したのです。「あなたはアメリカ人をうるさいと思ってるけど、日本を訪れてごらんよ！」
It seems me that she experienced real noisy Japanese. どうやら、彼女は日本人の正体を垣間見たようだ。
I replied her that haha! I hope one day you will visit Japan and experience Japanese night life at “Izakaya”. They are super loud.
私は彼女に ははは！いつか日本を訪れ、「居酒屋」で日本のナイトライフを体験してほしい、彼らは超うるさいよ。と、お返事を書きました。

A new Vietnamese restaurant was opened in the neighborhood, so ダン蔵 and I visited there for today’s lunch.
近所に新しいベトナム料理の店ができたので、お昼にダン蔵と行ってみた。
I said to ダン蔵 that our usual Vietnamese restaurant Pho Bang is more delicious than this.
いつも行く、Pho Bang の方が美味しいね。と言ったら、
He agreed with me but, he said he never mind because the waitress is prettier here.
彼は、私の意見に同意したが、でも、気にしないと。何故なら、こっちのレストランの方がウエートレスが可愛いから、との事。
It was very much men’s world opinion, but Pho Bags doesn’t have waitress.
それは、素晴らしく男の世界の意見だけど、悪いけど、Pho Bang には、ウエートレスはいない。
There are only old Chinese guys working there.
そこで働いているのは中国人の老人だけです。
It won’t be a match. 勝負になりません。
By the way, ダン蔵 can use chopsticks well.
ちなみに、ダン蔵は箸が上手に使えます。

A couple bought a painting from my gallery. They are friend of ダン蔵 and I.
ダン蔵と私の友達ご夫婦が私のギャラリーから一つ、絵を買ってくれました。
I said I will deliver it when the exhibition is over. 私は展覧会が終わったらお届けします。と、言いました。
Then they invited ダン蔵 and me to lunch at their home today.
それで、今日はお宅でのランチに招待してくれました。
It was a sophisticated, tidy and beautiful apartment and delicious meal.
洗練された、整理整頓された美しいアパートメントで美味しいお食事。
Oh my God! By comparison, the everyday life that I give to ダン蔵 is wild.
おお神よ！それと比べると、私が提供しているダン蔵への毎日は野生だな。

ダン蔵 has eaten the meatball and sauté de champignons. But he hasn’t eaten any salad. He said he was tired of the usual mesclun salad, so I cut cabbage, carrots, red turnips, etc. into thin strips.
ダンぐらはハンバーグとマッシュルームのソテーは完食した。が、彼はサラダを全然食べてない。いつものベビーリーフのサラダに飽きたと言うから、私はキャベツ、人参、赤カブなどなど、せっかく千切りにしたのになー。
He ate only endive. エンダイブだけ食べたみたい。
It’s gone that only the beautiful yellow-green color of endive.
エンダイブの綺麗な黄緑色だけがなくなってる。

ダン蔵 loves white asparagus. ダン蔵は、ホワイトアスパラガスが大好き。
Especially, he wants to eat it in Germany in May. 彼はそれを５月にドイツで食べたいんだよね。

ダン蔵 and I had a lovely lunch with ダン蔵’s two ex-assistants. It was wonderful reunion. Now, both of them are established artists. Great!
ダン蔵と私はダン蔵の二人の前のアシスタントとランチしました。また、二人に会えて嬉しかった。二人とも今では評価されているアーテイストです。素晴らしい！
I haven’t achieved anything yet. 私はまだ何も達成してないなあ。
I’m grateful that I’m still alive. まだ、生きてるだけでありがたい。
